PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY
As a seasoned Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Access, and Justice (IDEA-J) leader with over 14 years of experience, I am passionate about transforming organizational cultures. My work across higher education, corporate, government, and non-profit sectors is dedicated to moving institutions beyond rhetoric to build truly equitable and inclusive systems. I specialize in analyzing workplace climates to identify the most compelling narratives for change and shaping operations to foster a culture of belonging and collective access.
My approach is both strategic and hands-on. I partner with senior and executive leaders to develop and implement comprehensive equity plans, design impactful training programs, and integrate cultural intelligence into an organization’s core practices. With a proven track record in IDEA-J data analysis, I ensure all initiatives are grounded in evidence and targeted for maximum impact. My work includes optimizing recruitment and retention initiatives to ensure equity, enhancing scholarship access for underrepresented students, and embedding justice into institutional policies and procedures.
DIVERSITY STATEMENT
My approach to Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Access, and Justice (IDEA-J) is a lived and active commitment, not just a professional practice. It is explicitly anti-racist (pro-Black), anti-sexist (pro-womanist), and anti-ableist (pro-collective access). My work is grounded in the understanding that marginalization is multiplicative, and I center my analysis on the intersections of race, gender, disability, environmental justice, and access.
This philosophy is deeply informed by my own lived experience as an Autistic, Gifted, African American and Native, cisgender woman raised in poverty by a single parent in a rural community. This background provides me with a unique lens to understand the systemic barriers that persist and fuels my unwavering dedication to dismantling them. My professional framework is therefore grounded in the scholarly traditions of Critical Race Theory (CRT), intersectionality, and cultural responsiveness to foster sustainable and transformative change.
